Manatee Weathervane
The Manatee (Trichechus manatus) or Sea Cow weather vane featured in this image consists of a copper Manatee and sea bed with brass seaweeds. Because our vanes are made to order, the choice of metals can be modified at the time an order is placed.
The Manatee's eyes are made from handcrafted glass eyes with black pupils. People who order this weather vane get to choose the eye color they want for their weather vane.

Our customer graciously sent us a photo of the Manatee weathervane once it was installed out at the end of a deck. It was done as a gift for her parents.
Here is an except from the note that accompanied the photo.
"I thought you would enjoy seeing Manatee #1 installed on my parent's house in Key Largo, FL. They have it at the corner of a planter area by a walkway that goes around their house. They have lots of windows and can see the vane from almost all of them. They love it and have gotten many compliments from friends and neighbors who are absolutely amazed that such a thing should even exist! Thank you again for your patience in working with us on the design. We think the results are well worth the efforts".

To place an order, please call us at (800) 762-8736 or (831) 425-5505.
At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
