Blue Whale Weathervane
The Blue Whale weathervane (Balaenoptera musculus) featured in this image consists of a copper Blue Whale with gold leafed throat pleats. Because our vanes are made to order, the choice of metals can be modified at the time an order is placed.
The Blue Whale's eyes are made from handcrafted glass with black pupils. People who order this weather vane get to choose the eye color they want for their weather vane.

Below is a photo of one of our Medium sized Blue Whale weather vanes atop a kiosk at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center at the Long Marine Laboratory in Santa Cruz, California. It was installed as part of a dedication ceremony for an entire Blue Whale skeleton that went on display at the laboratory and interpretive center. The Long Marine Lab is part of a dynamic nexus of marine studies and research programs that ring the Monterey Bay and its associated marine sanctuary. If your travel plans ever bring you to the Central California coast, in addition to the spectacular Monterey Bay Aquarium, be sure and stop by the Long Marine Lab as well.

To place an order, please call us at (800) 762-8736 or (831) 425-5505.
At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
