The Moby Dick & Ahab Whale weather vane featured in this image consists of a copper Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus) with brass fins, and tail. The ocean waves are also done in brass.. Perched on top of Moby Dick is Ahab with a harpoon in hand. It's hard to see in our drawing but the harpoon line is wrapped around Ahab's leg. Because our vanes are made to order, the choice of metals can be modified at the time an order is placed.
This weathervane was designed for a customer who then ordered a different weather vane. Because we had already done the design work, we decided to go ahead and post it on our website. The design fee has already been covered for this drawing so if anyone would like to order it, they will get the number one in the series in the size of their choice without having to have paid for us to create the design!
Moby Dick's eyes are made from handcrafted glass eyes with black pupils. People who order this weather vane get to choose the eye color they want for their weather vane.

To place an order, please call us at (831) 425-5505.
At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
