The Bald Eagle Hunting for Fish weather vane featured in this photo has glass eyes were custom made for this weather vane. They give it a very life like appearance! If you look closely, you can see optional gold leafed details on the wings,
beak, and tail. Gold leafing offers a nice visual contrast between the
weathered copper and the golden sections of the sculpture piece.
The original idea of incorporating the directionals into an active design element of the turning weathervane, is an original design concept by West Coast Weather Vanes. We have used this concept on a number of our weathervanes, such as our Robin & Chicks Weathervane, Wine Bottle & Wine Glasses Weathervane, and Cat & Mice Weathervane. Our design concept has now been copied by many other vane makers.
The Bald Eagle's natural range covers most of North America, including most of Canada, all of the continental United States, and northern Mexico. The bird itself is able to live in most of North America's varied habitats from the bayous of Louisiana to the Sonoran desert and the eastern deciduous forests of Quebec and New England. It can be a migratory bird but it also is not unheard of for a nesting pair to overwinter in its breeding area.

At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
