The Stork Weathervane carrying a Baby above, center, was designed to sit on the ridgeline of a roof but can be made into a weathervane if desired. Also note it was made in Nickel Silver and Gold Leaf at the customer’s request but it can be made in the more traditional copper and brass if desired).
The Stork Weathervane, on the right (above) is made from copper with brass accents. The handcrafted tooling gives the stork's plumage a lifelike quality. Optional hold leaf accents on the feather tips will enhance their appearance over time as the copper forms a patina on the surface and darkens in color.
Storks are large, long-legged, long-necked wading birds with long stout bills, belonging to the family Ciconiidae. They occur in most of the warmer regions of the world and tend to live in drier habitats than the related herons, spoonbills and ibises; they also lack the powder down that those groups use to clean off fish slime. Storks have no syrinx and are mute, giving no bird call; bill-clattering is an important mode of stork communication at the nest. Many species are migratory

At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
