The 3
images shown above represent 3 different approaches to this Bucking Bronco
Weather Vane. Because our weathervanes are made to order variations on a
theme are definitely possible. In addition, we can use copper,
brass, gold leaf, nickel silver and palladium to further distinguish each
weathervane we make. The large image of the bronc above was
made in all copper, while the other two versions with riders use gold leaf
accents.
We have
also talked with several prospective customers about transforming this basic
bronc horse into an Eventing weathervane with splashing water and a fence or
hedge beneath the hind quarters of the horse.
A
bronco, or bronc is a term used in
the United States and Canada to
refer to an untrained horse. It may refer to a feral horse that has lived in the
wild its entire life, but is also used to refer to domestic horses not yet fully
trained to saddle, and hence prone to unpredictable behavior, particularly
bucking.
The term also refers to
the bucking horses used in rodeo
"rough stock" events, such as bareback riding and saddle bronc riding. In modern
useage, it is seldom used any longer to refer to a "wild," or more accurately, a
"feral" horse, as the
Wild Horse Protection Act
prevents the capture of Mustangs
from the wild for use in rodeos.
