The Moon
Goddess is our first weathervane design that featured the human figure and
to this day, she remains one of our most popular designs. Because we make each
weathervane to individual order, we can personalize this weathervane in several
ways. Most of our customers go with optional gold leaf on the moon goddess’s
face, arms, legs and the little crescent moon on her headband. Many of our
customers also opt to go with the gold leafed moon although it also be left the
natural copper or brass depending on individual preference. The moon goddess
weather vane also has translucent glass eyes and our customers get to choose
which color eyes they want for their sculpture.
Because the
Moon Goddess is a symbol of the night sky, we have had a number of our
customers install small outdoor lights on the roof beneath her. These can be
turned on at dusk (one customer even installed light sensitive solar lights)
that can illuminate her at night. Especially when she is gold leafed, the
night-lights pick up this luminosity and she looks stunning against the dark
backdrop.

Gods
and
Goddess weathervane
designs. The Standing Goddess weathervane
is one of several custom offered
by West Coast Weather Vanes. These
custom copper weathervanes are part of our larger series of mythological
weathervane designs that also
feature
Dragon weathervanes,
Mermaid weathervanes
and over 50
other mythological weathervane designs. Please visit our
