Many of our Unicorn weather vanes have been made with copper bodies and gold leafed horns; however we recently

finished a spectacular Unicorn weathervane for a customer on the East Coast who wanted the Unicorn gilded with Palladium

(a silver colored leaf) rather than Gold. The only gold leaf we applied to this weathervane was on the spiral of the Unicorn’s

horn. You can see from the enclosed photos that the weathervane turned out beautifully.

As with all our weathervanes, the customer gets to choose what color eyes we put in their Unicorn. The Palladium Unicorn

weathervane had Aqua colored eyes although we have made Unicorn weathervanes with amethyst, blue and green eyes as

well. The choice is up to you.

Unicorns are magical beasts that have appeared in various forms throughout the world.  Our Unicorn Weathervane is based

on the more Eurocentric interpretation of this mythological creature.  The word 'unicorn' comes from the Latin 'Uni', meaning

one, and 'Cornu', meaning horn.  Unicorns have appeared in Western writings for over 2000 years and sources include

the bible,  Aristotle and Genghis Khan.  The Unicorn also evolved as a mythical creature in China as early as 2800 BC.

At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.

At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
