This Zeus weathervane is one of my personal favorites. It was commissioned by a customer on the east coast to go on top of his boat house. This particular version was made with copper, nickel silver, gold leaf and palladium leaf. Zeus’s body is made of copper. His beard, hair, eyebrows and the thunderclouds were made with nickel silver. We added palladium streaks to his hair and to articulate each billowing cloud. We also gilded the thunderbolts. We used aqua colored translucent glass jewels for his eyes.
I’ve also enclosed a photo of the weathervane maker responsible for its creation. Victor has been with West Coast Weather Vanes for over a decade and is a master level craftsmen. Each weathervane maker in our studio goes through a rigorous apprentice, journeyman, and master training program. Each weathervane is made from start to finish by an individual craftsperson that signs, dates and numbers each weathervane with its series.

At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
