This Cessna Airplane weather vane was originally commissioned as a surprise birthday present for her husband. She sent us photos of his airplane and we used them to individualize the airplane so that it matched his. They put the weathervane on a tree stump where they could see it from both inside the house and while out in their garden.
The Cessna Cardinal Airplane weathervanes featured above right, are the same, except that the one on the top was made in all copper and the one on the bottom was gold leafed to match the markings of a particular airplane. Each of our weathervanes can be personalized in a similar way to make it a one of a kind weathervane.
The Cessna 177 Cardinal is a light, high-wing general aviation aircraft that was intended to replace Cessna's 172 Skyhawk. First announced in 1967, it was produced from 1968 to 1978.
On 11 April 1996, a Cessna 177B carrying 7-year-old Jessica Dubroff, her certified flight instructor and her father, crashed after take-off from Cheyenne Airport in Cheyenne, Wyoming, killing all on board. Dubroff was attempting to set a cross-country record for young pilots, although her instructor was thought to have been at the controls at the time of the accident. No defect in the aircraft itself was found. The accident resulted in general public concern and new Federal legislation banning record attempts by non-holders of private pilot or higher certificates

At the time you call, we will provide you with an estimated completion date.
At the time the order is placed, a deposit of 1/3 is due. Upon receipt of the deposit, time will be reserved in our schedule. The balance is due when the weather vane has been completed and prior to shipping. Deposits can be made with Visa, MasterCard or check.
All West Coast Weather Vanes are custom made for the person who orders them.
