Our Art Instructors
Once a month, West Coast Weather Vanes invites a well known
artist from the community to come to our studio and give a private art class to
our weather vane makers. The guest artists often bring live models when we are
studying the human
figure. We also do anatomy classes to study various animals, such as
horses, cows, dogs and felines to continually improve our ability to render
these subjects with accuracy and sensitivity.
It is our goal to create the most beautiful weather vanes
anywhere in the world and we feel a wide exposure to different stylistic
approaches and ways of seeing is a step in this direction. Listed below
are just a few of our guest artists that have participated in this hands-on
training program.
