Lighthouse weathervanes are very popular and each one you see here is based on an actual lighthouse. While our Old Woman’s Shoe Weathervane may stretch the definition of structure, we included it here to help “fire’ your imagination. Structures like firehouses love to display fireman, fire engines and even dalmatian weathervanes atop their stations. Day Care centers, veterinary hospitals, medical facilities and zoos are also frequent beneficiaries of weathervanes that showcase their raison d’etre.
