Call them what you will; railfans, rail buffs, train buffs, trainspotters or gricers, these dedicated railway enthusiasts are a passionate group. The study of railways and trains which is sometimes known as ferroequinology (literally meaning the “study of iron horses”) is a love shared by people of all ages all over the world. Not surprisingly, those who have ordered train weathervanes from us in the past have all had associations with this pursuit. Of course, less elaborate designs than the one shown here are possible.
