Our War of 1812 Cannon Weathervane was commissioned by a Michigan resident as a surprise birthday present for her husband, whose nickname is ‘Cannon’. Michigan was a significant battleground during the ‘Second War of Independence’ as at least seven land battles and four naval or amphibious actions were fought there.
This unique 3D design was fabricated in brass and copper, utilizing sheet, tube, and bar stock. In this way our skilled artisans could create the fine detail with their hammer work, while maintaining the look of the weapon’s machined functionality.
