This copper Belgian Sheepdog Weathervane is fabricated in detail, swell bodied style. Our stellar artisans have made personal, specialty hammers to create the distinctive tooling which gives the fur a realistic texture on the body.
We personalized this weather vane for our customers to create a portrait of their special canine. We worked from a variety of photos they sent of their dog in many stances to create this piece. Its glass eye color was selected from the variety we offer to best match their dog’s eyes.
We offer the option of adding an inscribed collar and tags, to further identify a particular animal. Please call if you would like to have a weathervane of your dog.
Belgian Shepherd Dog (also know as the Belgian Sheepdog or Chien de Berger Belge) can refer to any of four breeds of dog: the Groenendael, the Laekenois, the Tervueren, or the Malinois. In some regions, these are considered four different varieties of a single breed; in other regions, they are considered a single breed. The American Kennel Club (AKC) recognizes only the Groenendael under the name ‘Belgian Sheepdog’, but also recognizes the Tervueren and the Malinois as individual breeds.
