Our French Bulldog with Pug Weathervane was designed from a photo of these two buddies in a frequent pose. We are a bunch of dog lovers here at West Coast Weather Vanes, and the awww factor was high while this delightful sculpture was taking shape. It is crafted in copper, in very high detail swell bodied style. Our artists were also able to create the pug as a mirror image. So, yes, it is two faced, but in this situation it works so well. As the weather vane turns in the wind, his cute little snoozing face is always towards the viewer. The bulldog has glass eyes, that will catch a bit of light.

As pictured, both dogs have optional gold and palladium leafing applied to accent the lighter parts of their markings. These precious metal applications will remain in bright contrast to the weathered copper for many decades.

Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.
