This wonderful copper Wood Duck Weathervane, portrays this beautifully marked bird, taking off from the cupola tip of our customer’s Lake Tahoe home. It was purchased as a very special Anniversary gift.

This design is quite popular with other distributed around California.

It is crafted in the swell bodied style, with glass eyes, giving a realistic look. These customers requested optional gold leafing to accent the beautiful markings of the Aix Sponsa.

Spread wing birds have a lot of lift in the wind, so here at West Coast Weathervanes we add special bracing and a security device that keeps the sculpture piece spinning freely, but not literally flying away.
