We have made this Thoroughbred Horse Weathervane in all copper as well as copper with optional gold leafed mane and tail, and glass eyes. Because we make each weather vane to order, we can also use gold leaf (or palladium leaf) to personalize your vane to match your horse’s individual markings (for example, a blaze on its forehead or one or more white socks).
This is a popular design and we have sent versions of this weather vane design to new racing facilities or horse farms as far away as Australia. We have also customized this weathervane to be a portrait of Chessie. Here is picture of Chessie winning the  Presque Isla Pennsylvania race!
In addition to offering a racing thoroughbred horse, we also offer two variations of a thoroughbred Mare and Foal Weathervane.
Here is a lovely comment from one of our satisfied customers:
I am happy to speak with any prospects that you have to tell them how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. This weathervane is the talk of my community. People walk by my house just to take a look .
The Thoroughbred is a horse breed best known as a race horse. While carefully bred racehorses had existed throughout Europe for centuries prior to this time, the breed as it is known today developed during the 17th century in England when English mares began to be bred to imported Arabian stallions. This addition of verifiable Arabian blood coincided with the creation of the General Stud Book of England and the practice of official registering of horses. Today all modern Thoroughbreds trace to these imported stallions. Click here for pricing information on this weather vane.
