This Double Sand Crane Weathervane is a great example of how just the smallest of touches can communicate so much. These birds are fabricated from copper in swell-bodied style. The marsh grasses are brass in single sheet silhouette. The Sandhill Crane’s distinctive red markings have been created with enamel metal paint over fine feather textured copper. Very dark glass eyes were selected to match the real bird’s appearance and give it a lifelike appearance.
